Fall Hunting and Fishing on Lake of the Woods...
Come and enjoy the stunning colors and revitalizing ambiance of fall on Lake of the Woods! Whether you are interested in capitalizing on bird and deer hunting, late-season fishing, or just getting away to the quiet tranquility of nature, Angle Outpost Resort offers the ideal getaway for the fall months!

Autumn is an exciting time for trolling world-class Muskies in the Northwest Angle and Islands area of Lake of the Woods, where we have been established as one of the world's premier Muskie destinations. Several fish near the 60-inch mark have been caught and released in waters close to our resort. World-renowned muskie guide Doug Johnson provides clients with the best possible chances of landing a trophy. Please refer to the Guides page for more information on booking your adrenaline-charged Muskie fishing experience with Doug.

Located on the Central Mississippi Flyway, we are also a popular destination for both avid and casual duck hunters. Angle Outpost offers a convenient base camp for hunting Ontario and U.S. waters of Lake of the Woods. Knowledgeable, veteran Lake of the Woods duck hunters are available for guiding your excursions. Simply contact us at the resort office and we will be happy to make the arrangements.

Deer hunting season, which opens in late September in Ontario and Manitoba, and the first Saturday in November in the U.S. also lures hunters to our area. Large populations of White-tailed deer inhabit the surrounding forests, making our neck of the woods a traditional deer hunting location. Experienced, amiable hunting guides are available to ensure a gratifying hunting vacation. We’d love to be your next deer camp hosts!

As an added convenience, our fall guests can purchase all their U.S. hunting and fishing licenses right in our lodge. Call us today to enquire about our guide services or to make your reservations!
